All You Need To Know About The Indoor Soccer Ball
Indoor Soccer Ball Information
First time indoor soccer players and teams often ask: "What type of ball do they use in indoor soccer?". This question is answered on this page, so read on...
Indoor soccer is played all over the world and so many different types of balls are used. In North America indoor soccer balls are normally covered with suede and non-marking covering. But in South Africa this is not the case regarding indoor balls. I am sure you have seen those large tennis balls, the ones when you first saw them you thought they were optical illusions... Those are the same type of balls used in indoor soccer. Depending at which indoor soccer club you play your indoor soccer, these tennis balls may vary in size and colour. The similar aspects of these soccer balls are that they are very bouncy, quite hard and they all resemble a tennis ball.
At first it may seem a bit awkward playing with an indoor soccer ball, don't worry if you feel this way as after your first match you will be used to the bounce and size the indoor soccer ball has to offer. Pictured below is an indoor soccer ball that is often used in South African indoor soccer. Other balls used are very similar to this ball. Just click the picture to see it full size...
